Torres Del Paine, Chilean Patagonia- Gallery

Posted on Posted in Galleries

What to say about the Chilean Patagonia except that it’s absolutely breathtaking scenery draws you in.  We weren’t even going to go due to the high cost of everything there.  We will never regret going!  We made it to Puerto Natales, Chile where we rented a car, secured an AirBNB and got ready to drive around Torres Del Paine National Park the following day.  The road going into Torres Del Paine is a nice paved road and until you get further in the park, things suddenly begin getting worse.   Paved roads turn to half paved, half dirt, then full dirt, then potholed dirt, then washboard dirt.   I can’t imagine running around this area in the rain, however the day we went it was gorgeous!!

The Torres are large granite towers that are visible on clear days and with it’s crystal bluish-green water lakes, snow capped mountains, glaciers, and incredible waterfalls, you can see it all from the road.  Rent a car and you can see the entire park in about 5-8 hours depending on how much time you have on your hands and how much you stop.   We saw a ton of wildlife including; Andean Condors, Guanacos, Rheas, Foxes, and more things we can’t remember now.  It was magical and wonderful!   We highly recommend you take a visit and spend some time if you are in the Patagonia.  The sights are worth the extra money spent.    Don’t forget to bring a jacket as it can get a bit chilly up in the hills and if it’s storming or has been for weeks, rent a 4×4, you will need it!
