Pushkar, India Gallery – Camel Rides Anyone?

Sometimes you just need to sit and do nothing.  That is exactly what we did beside ride a Camel in Pushkar.  Riding camels is unique and something you should try.  It might not be for everyone, but this ancient way of travel is something different.  We have ridden many animals and the feeling of running on a camel is amazing.  We loved the relaxing atmosphere of Pushkar and rented a bike for about 10 dollars a day.  It was worth it, because we were able to get around town and stay just outside where the accommodations are cheaper and nicer than in town.  This is a holy city where Brahma put a lotus flower in the ground that made a lake.  There is a temple here and the only one that is dedicated to Brahma in the country.  It is a pilgrimage site for all good Hindus to visit once in their life and there is a wide range of people visiting here.  It is also an Israeli hang out too.  We loved relaxing here in the desert and loved the Falafel in town at the many stalls.

Cheap and easy going, Pushkar is a place we loved to spend a week or so just relaxing.  Check out the pictures and don’t forget to subscribe to our blog to get more updates to articles and galleries.
